Postal codes
The Postal codes page lists your organization's postal codes. Each row is a country and postal-code pair with its municipality, post office and district. It supplies address choices; it is not a list of workers' addresses. Rows are initially sorted by postal code.
Columns
| Column | Meaning |
|---|---|
| Postal code | A text value, preserving any leading zeros. Together with the country it identifies the entry. |
| Municipality | Municipality or locality offered when entering an address. |
| Post office | Post office assigned to the postal code. |
| District | District or equivalent area. |
| Country | Country selected from the countries enabled in the application. |
Available actions
- Find: filter by postal code, municipality or country, or change the sorting. The same postal code can exist in several countries.
- Create: enter all five values and save. The country and postal-code pair must be unique.
- Edit: update the municipality, post office or district and save. Country and postal code cannot be renamed on an existing entry; create a new entry for a different pair.
- Delete: select the exact entry and delete it. Permissions or references may prevent deletion.
This page has no additional custom row actions. Changing the catalog does not automatically rewrite workers' existing addresses. If another user changed the entry, reload it before deciding on your changes.
Using the assistant
The assistant can read paginated entries, find an exact country and postal code, create an entry, edit its municipality, post office or district, and delete the selected entry. Before editing or deleting, it verifies the key and current version. After a write is accepted it should read the entry again; it does not automatically retry an uncertain write.
